Best of #Gsuite Updates October 2018 #EdTech

Hello Everyone!

Google is constantly updating G-Suite's apps for education (GSFE). Through the month I will post about my favorite. Since I did not post last month, here are my favorite updates from October 2018.

  1. Vertical ruler improves table management in Google Docs (Finally!)
  2. Insert Images and Charts from Explore Docs and Slides
  3. Automatic REAL-TIME Captions in Google Slides

I know many who have been waiting for Google Docs to add the Vertical ruler, myself included. Now that it is here, finally those of us that want to make tables within Google Docs have more control over the rows and cells.

Insert Images and Charts from Explore Docs and Slides

If you've never clicked that "Explore" button in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides, you are missing out. There are many useful and, most importantly, time saving features you can access in explore.

Automatic REAL-TIME Captions in Google Slides

This is an outstanding feature in Google Slides and could be invaluable to help students clearly understand content being presented.

Its been a little while since my last post. There has been a lack of posts last month due to life events and work. However, look forward to more this month as there are some exciting things to share.
